SkipSeen · Chrome extension
Something not working, or have a question? Email keenanlkaufman@gmail.com and I'll get back to you. The answers below cover the most common questions.
Autoplay isn't skipping watched videos
Check three things:
- Open the SkipSeen popup and make sure the toggle is on.
- SkipSeen only learns a video is “watched” after you've actually watched it with the extension installed — brand-new installs start with an empty history.
- It runs on youtube.com watch pages. If you just installed it, reload any YouTube tabs that were already open.
How does SkipSeen decide a video is “watched”?
It tracks your viewing progress on each video and marks it as watched once you've seen enough of it. After that, autoplay will skip past it automatically.
Can I start over?
Yes. Open the popup and click Clear history to wipe your watched-video list and begin fresh.
Where is my data stored?
Entirely on your own device, in your browser's local storage. Nothing is uploaded, and there's no account. See the privacy policy for details.
